Two best friends. One pressure cooker. Endless adventures!

Meet Zac Kirsten, a little boy with the brain of a big-business boss. He sees the world as a puzzle of numbers, plans and clever strategies, and he never goes anywhere without his trusty cricket bat (or his mum's pressure cooker).

Then there's Steve Carter, his football-mad best friend, who is fast, fearless and always on the move. Where Zac thinks, Steve jumps. Together they make an unbeatable team: The Strategist and The Athlete!

In this first book of the series, the boys turn everyday life in Edinburgh into one big adventure:

•A kitchen pressure cooker becomes a space helmet for a mission to Mars
•Zac helps win a football match without kicking a single ball
•A trip to the supermarket turns into a rescue mission
•A "haunted" mansion holds a surprising, feathery secret
•Little sister Olivia turns Zac's cricket bat neon pink!
•Zac and Steve accidentally take over a live TV news broadcast
•The big Junior Cricket Championship comes down to the very last ball

Packed with laughs, clever thinking and heart, The Cookie Conundrum is a story about curiosity, teamwork and the kind of friendship that makes any afternoon an adventure.

Beautifully illustrated in full colour, with a picture opening every chapter. It's perfect for young readers who love sport, funny surprises and big ideas.
