The rate includes the maid. She just found out.

At the Pine Court Motel there's a green tag on the housekeeping cart, and when it's out, housekeeping includes the guests. The last girl quit. Tia hangs the tag herself — and starts working her way down the corridor. Strangers. Regulars. Two at once. The night every room is full and every door is waiting.

Rough, explicit, zero apology: group, anal, denial, the pool after close — and the one guest who won't take what the tag sells, because he wants her to knock first.

She was included in the rate. Now she sets it.
