Turo was born under the shadow of the great herds — a boy of the Stone Valley clan, destined to one day lead the hunters in pursuit of the mighty mammoth. But when a rival tribe strikes without warning, stealing the clan's sacred tusk and driving them from their winter caves, Turo must rise far sooner than anyone expected.

Armed with nothing but a stone-tipped spear and his unshakable spirit, Turo sets out across the frozen plains to reclaim what was lost. Along the way, he'll face deadly predators, brutal enemies, and his own doubts — but also discover what it truly means to be a hunter, a leader, and a man of the mammoth.

A sweeping prehistoric tale of courage, survival, and the bond between a people and the land they call home.
