Twelve people made the decision. None of them wanted it.

A regional emergency-care council temporarily diverts trauma patients from a strained hospital. No one votes yes. No one objects. The motion passes anyway.

Hours later, a man dies after the longer ambulance route.

Psychologist Rebecca Haskell and Detective Timothy Gresham discover that the council members were not confused about the facts. They were wrong about one another. Each privately opposed diversion while believing everyone else supported it.

As Rebecca traces the same pattern through meetings, surveys, institutional procedures, and earlier risk-management work, an unsettling possibility emerges. Someone may understand not only what groups believe, but what people think everyone else believes.

No One Said Yes is Book Two of The Group Mind, a psychological crime thriller about conformity, silence, responsibility, and how a room full of private disagreement can still produce a unanimous decision.
