When a Greyhound bus overturns on I-80 during a Wyoming blizzard, rescue crews find eleven bodies—one more than the passenger manifest lists. Every phone aboard has been destroyed except one, still glowing on the chest of a dead woman. On its screen is a group called BLACK SCREEN and three rules: Show it. Do not judge. Kill whoever lies.

Forensic technician Dahlia Kemp is called to help preserve the scene. The unidentified extra body turns out to be her estranged brother, a federal agent traveling under a false name. Hidden inside his phone are photographs of Dahlia, evidence of a network called COLD HAND, and traces of Maeve Connolly, a teenage girl who may have escaped the crash into the snow.

As Dahlia and Sergeant Harlan Pike follow the evidence, they uncover a system built on surveillance, coercion, missing women, and carefully manufactured versions of the truth. But the closer they get to what happened inside the bus, the harder it becomes to separate victim from witness, protection from control, and confession from manipulation.

BLACK SCREEN is a dark, atmospheric thriller about guilt, memory, institutional silence, and the dangerous cost of refusing to look away.
