TIME-CAST
Chronicles of Michael Jameson
A Novel by Ben Solomon

Michael Jameson is twenty-six, invisible behind a Chicago video store counter, and certain his real life is happening somewhere else. Then he discovers he's a Time-Cast — pulled through history again and again, never aging, never free. From the frontier West to a Shaolin temple, from ancient enslavement to a clockmaker's workshop in seventeenth-century France, he gains mentors, skills, and loves in every world he enters — but never ages a day, while everyone he loves grows old and dies without him. When the truth behind his gift finally surfaces, Michael must decide what a life is for, and what he owes the people forever was never meant to keep.

This is a story about the cost of forever, and the price paid by everyone it leaves behind.

Why you'll love it:

•A sweeping six-act journey across six vividly different worlds and eras
•A fresh, emotional take on time travel — immortality as burden, not gift
•Rich historical texture: the Old West, Shaolin monastic life, ancient slavery, Baroque France
•A mystery that builds to a powerful reveal about who has been guiding Michael all along
•Literary, character-driven prose about love, loss, and what a life is worth
