One woman's journey across borders, decades, heartbreaks, and dreams-finding home, love, and purpose along the way.

Born with an unstoppable spirit and a voice for storytelling, Martha Cruz built her life from the ground up, as a journalist, mother, immigrant, and survivor. From the shadows of political unrest in Peru to the vibrant chaos of life in Mexico, Los Angeles, and finally the southern charm of South Carolina, her journey is anything but ordinary.

Through heartbreaks, love stories, raising a child on her own, and finding her way back to faith and purpose, Martha's memoir is both deeply personal and universally relatable. With courage, wit, and resilience, she reflects on the choices that shaped her, the battles she fought in silence, and the miracles that led her to a life she never imagined-but always hoped for.

Just Where I Want to Be is a powerful and inspiring testament to strength, reinvention, and the beauty of never giving up on your dreams, no matter how long the journey takes.
