"Keys of the Veil: The Eight Pillars" is the second installment and sequel to Jovan Espinoza's debut novel, "Keys of the Veil: A Pillar's Journey," out now!

After saving the town near Mount Hood, Julian is left cursed. With Rohan's help, they suppress the curse and his chaotic energy with a temporary sigil. Julian feels slightly in control, though he knows the sigil won't last forever.

To try to fix Julian's problem permanently, Rohan and Annamae send him on another journey. He agrees to go and ventures off with Xander, who stayed behind in this world to help him on his journey. While on the new venture, they encounter an individual named Remi who promises Julian a chance to meet the other Pillars and find a solution to his chaotic powers. With Xander's encouragement, he agrees to go, though not without him.

Julian will face new challenges as he learns to be part of a team with individuals who differ from him in so many ways, while his relationship with Xander blossoms. As he meets his new allies, Remi's intentions come into question, as their lack of answers makes everyone wonder what they are truly up to. And suspicions arise as Julian believes Xander has more secrets that he's hiding.

It'll leave Julian wondering if this new journey was worth it or if it'll cost him everything.
