In the Land of My Fathers is not simply a biography, nor is it a political manifesto. It is a testimony of survival, memory, faith, and return, the story of a family, a people, and an ancient homeland that empires renamed, armies conquered, and ideologies tried to erase, yet never succeeded in severing from Jewish history or from the covenant that bound our people to the land.

This story is also my own: born in Israel, shaped by the Galilee, by family memory, war, sacrifice, loss, and the stubborn hope of a people who refused to disappear.

Through personal experience, family history, military service, historical research, and reflection, Moshe Shloush examines the enduring connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel. He explores the history behind modern Israel, the struggles of Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews, the wars that shaped the nation, and the narratives that continue to distort its story.

At its deepest level, this is the story of the Nation of Israel, placed on this earth with purpose, called to bear witness to God, and still standing after every empire that tried to erase it has vanished.
