“Even if you never loved me, I still wanted to save you.”

Lunia, the daughter of Count Persephone, lived a lonely life―rejected by her father and treated as a mere tool by her half-brother. When a priest selected her as the bride of Duke Hades, master of the cursed Khronoa family, she seized her only chance to escape by marrying into the duke’s household.

The Khronoa family, feared as the “Dark King” for handling the empire’s darkest affairs―affairs that could kill anyone who became involved―was bound by a curse: unless the duke married the bride chosen by the emperor, his life would be cut short. Unlike the rumors, Hades’s presence captivated Lunia at once. Yet he made it clear he had no intention of loving love her.

Confused by his rejection when her very existence was meant to save him from the curse, Lunia deceived him to keep him alive, sharing one fateful night with him before disappearing, unaware that she was now carrying his child...

Seven years later, Hades finds Lunia―and this time, he is determined to bring her and their child back home...
