The Watchers Beneath

The signal pulses every seventeen minutes from the deepest place on Earth—the Mariana Exclusion Zone, where something vast and ancient has been waiting. When journalist Dex Mercer discovers the pattern, he unwittingly becomes the latest in a long line of "watchers": humans touched by an intelligence that doesn't want to conquer humanity—it wants to remember it. As the signal accelerates and the transformation spreads, Dex must navigate between worlds: the surface, where governments hunt the changed; the deep, where billions of transformed souls await; and the terrifying possibility that the watchers beneath have been preparing for something far greater than anyone imagined. In this sweeping epic of cosmic horror and human resilience, one man's journey to the bottom of the ocean becomes the key to humanity's survival—and its evolution into something eternal.
