The Innerspace of Outerspace explores music as a form of magic — a portal that dissolves ordinary reality and opens onto myth, mystery, and transformation.
Tracing a lineage from ancient incantations and shamanic chants to modern visionaries like Sun Ra, the book shows how sound has long served as both cosmic language and earthly call to action. Weaving together sixties counterculture, Earth-centered thinkers such as Rachel Carson and James Lovelock, Indigenous wisdom, and the ambient explorations of artists like Steven Halpern and Brian Eno, it presents music as both mirror and map. Ultimately, the book argues that music gives us space to dream—and that dreaming is a force for changing the world.
