Contrast and companionship take center stage in this story of two very different girls who find common ground through their shared experiences. The rugged strength of the mountain-laurel meets the delicate grace of the maidenhair fern in a metaphorical exploration of friendship. It is a thoughtful meditation on how diverse personalities can harmoniously intertwine to create a lasting bond.
