The Pathfinders seem to be falling apart. Elvie's sick, Natalie's spending most of her time with her new lover, Violet is missing, and Bixby's long-lost brother might be in trouble. But when the Interface strikes a deal with the Capone and the South Siders, Elvie will have to pull them together. Bouncing between New York, Chicago, Miami, and Malibu, the Pathfinder family is expanding and learning that even after two hundred years, they still haven't learned the truth about themselves.
