Left destitute, the Underwood family must wage a daily war against want, led by the indefatigable Felix. This massive narrative weaves a tapestry of thirteen lives, each struggling to find their footing in a world that offers them nothing but trials. It is a study in endurance, exploring how spiritual wealth can flourish even when material poverty is absolute. The bonds of blood are tested by illness and ambition, yet remain unbreakable.
