A Fish Named Tuna is a gentle, imaginative story that helps young readers navigate the confusing feelings that come with change, self-awareness, and identity. Through Tuna's journey, author Ruthie offers a heartfelt message: feeling different doesn't mean something is wrong-it means you're uniquely you.

Inspired by a childhood moment of questioning her own appearance, Ruthie wrote this story to help children embrace what makes them special. With warm, engaging illustrations and a message of self-acceptance, A Fish Named Tuna encourages

conversations around self-worth, culture, and belonging.

Blending emotional insight with storytelling, Ruthie creates books that are both comforting and empowering-mirrors for some, and maps for others.
