MEDUZA is the unforgettable true story of Pavlo Aldoshyn, a Ukrainian artist who once played a sniper on screen—and then became one in real life.

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Aldoshyn’s world split in two. A trained actor known for portraying war, he was suddenly forced to live it. Trading scripts for rifles, art for survival, and fiction for brutal reality, Pavlo joined the front lines as a sniper defending his homeland.

Through intimate, unfiltered storytelling, MEDUZA traces his extraordinary transformation—from creative expression to calculated precision, from performer to protector. This is not a tale of glorified combat, but a raw human account of fear, duty, moral conflict, and resilience in the face of invasion.

Set against the devastated landscapes of modern Ukraine, this book explores:

The psychological cost of war

The collision of art and violence

What it means to choose resistance when survival is uncertain

Written with urgency and compassion, MEDUZA places readers inside the mind of a man caught between who he was and who history demanded he become.

This is a story about war—but more importantly, it is a story about identity, courage, and the price of freedom.
