The city calls it "order. "

But beneath the polished streets and political speeches lies a hidden program built on fear,

silence, and the quiet elimination of anyone who speaks too loudly.

Kallan Reid was never meant to survive it.

She was supposed to be one more girl erased without answers-

another file buried, another victim dismissed, another voice swallowed by a system that

decides who is "safe to hear" ...

and who is easier to remove.

But the night they tried to extinguish her, something unexpected happened.

She lived.

Now Kallan carries the one thing the city has spent years trying to destroy:

proof.

As fragments of the erased begin resurfacing,

as whistleblowers break under the weight of their guilt,

as missing names echo through neighborhoods that refused to forget,

Kallan becomes the unlikely center of a truth that threatens to collapse the entire system.

Her survival shakes the city's foundation.

Her voice awakens a movement.

Her courage forces buried sins to rise from the depths.

But power does not fall quietly.

The man behind the program-a figure protected by influence, secrecy, and violence-will

stop at nothing to silence her for good. And the closer Kallan comes to exposing him, the more

dangerous the city becomes for anyone standing beside her.

Yet she is no longer alone.

What began as one terrified girl fighting for her life becomes an uprising built on mothers

demanding answers, families reclaiming names, and strangers standing together for justice.

This is not just the story of a survivor.

This is the story of a reckoning.

A story about the brutal cost of truth,

the communities that rise when silence fails,

and the extraordinary power of a voice the system could not kill.

The People Are Starving for Change is a raw, haunting, deeply human thriller-

a journey through trauma, conspiracy, and courage,

and a reminder that revolutions don't start with armies.

They start with the one person who refuses to stay quiet
