This volume is not about restoring judgment.
It does not present solutions or corrective methods.

What it examines is the structure that remains after judgment has broken down.

References detach.
Order shifts.
Distance becomes fixed.
Yet operation does not stop.

Irreversibility.
Normalization.
Institutionalization.
Fixation.
Separation.
Transparency.
Autonomy.
Stability.
And severance.

Collapse does not occur.
Confusion does not occur.
And still, judgment ceases to function.

The problem is not the individual.
It is not competence.
It is structure.

Tracing the stages through which judgment breaks down,
this volume points to the configuration that has already taken hold beneath our feet.

This is not an exception.
This is the structure in which judgment breaks.
