The Classic Collection of Sir Alan Herbert. Illustrated: The Secret Battle, The House by the River, Little Rays of Moonshine presents a captivating selection of works by one of Britain’s most versatile and distinctive twentieth-century writers. Soldier, barrister, humorist, and novelist, Sir Alan Herbert combined sharp intelligence, emotional depth, and sparkling wit in stories that range from serious drama to lighthearted comedy.
