Rhett Edric Wilson knew three things for sure: he was gay, he was confident, and his heart was safest in fleeting moments. Then he met Aurora Faith Young. Their friendship was a sanctuary—easy, deep, and real. Until one blurred night changed everything.

Faced with an unexpected pregnancy, Rhett makes a desperate choice. He buries the boy he was—dyeing his fiery red hair black, silencing his laughter—to become the "right" man for Ari and her family. But when a cruel act of violence steals their future, the fragile world they built shatters.

As grief consumes them, Rhett pulls away, seeking solace in the arms of others and leaving Ari humiliated and heartbroken. The boy she loved seems lost behind a wall of coldness. Yet, she can't let go. And when she discovers his frequent disappearances aren't what they seem, her relentless pursuit leads her to a stark hospital room and a truth he never wanted her to bear: he is dying.

To protect her, he tried to make her hate him. To love him, she refused to leave.

The Wrong Kind of Right is a searing, unforgettable story about the lengths we go to for love, the identities we shed to protect others, and the unwavering devotion that insists, "No matter who you are or what you face, I am here." It's a testament to the fact that the truest love isn't about being perfect for each other—it's about being present, until the very last breath.
