Racism does not survive because people are ignorant. It survives because truth is treated as neutral.

In Racism: Truth Is Not Neutral, Dr. Freya A. Rivers examines racism not as a belief or attitude, but as a system sustained through distortion, omission, and power. Drawing on African-centered scholarship, historical analysis, and lived experience, this book exposes how institutions reproduce inequality while appearing principled and neutral.

This is not a book about blame. It is a book about clarity-and clarity demands responsibility. This work is intended for educators, policymakers, scholars, and readers seeking structural understanding rather than comfort.
