A city unravelling. A monster reborn. A house that never forgets.

Haunted and wounded, Maddie Harper arrives in Stratford in search of her only friend. But London is changing – twisting into something darker. Gangs roam the streets in tribute to Jack the Ripper, and Maddie's infected wound brings visions that blur the line between past and present. Desperate for safety, she returns to the only place that still calls to her: the abandoned house where it all began.

But she's not alone.

In 1888, Doctor Charles Grazier has done the impossible – he's reanimated his dead wife, Catherine. Heartless but awake, she screams on the slab in his basement laboratory. Desperate to silence her, Grazier pushes forward with horrific experiments, replacing body part after body part in his quest to rebuild the woman he loved. But something else is waking up too – something that cannot be reasoned with, and that may never die.

Back in the present, Maddie begins to uncover the house's gruesome history. No longer just an empty shell, the house pulses with echoes of past atrocities. And someone – or something – is watching her from the shadows.
