Some houses are better left unsold. Some names, better left buried.

When she arrives in the remote coastal village of Candleward, Mercy Willow is hoping to disappear. A new identity. A quiet job as an estate agent. A second chance. But this Cornish village has its own secrets – and Mercy isn't the only one with a past clawing its way back to the surface.

Her first assignment: sell Hurst House, a crumbling estate with a reputation steeped in tragedy. Locals won't go near it. Some say it's cursed. Some say it's haunted. Mercy says it just needs fresh paint and new windows.

She's wrong.

Something still lives within Hurst House – something that remembers the screams, the blood, and the long-buried sins of its last residents. As doors slam in empty rooms and whispers echo from behind the walls, Mercy is forced to confront the truth: some properties don't want to be sold. They want to be fed.

And Mercy's not exactly who she claims to be. She's been running for a long time… and whatever's chasing her may have just caught up.

The Haunting of Hurst House is the chilling first instalment in the Mercy Willow series, a paranormal horror saga set in the windswept wilds of Cornwall – where the dead don't rest, and some houses remember everything.
