Description & Overview

The Life of The Jungle: A Photo Book is a stunning photographic journey into one of the world’s most captivating natural environments.

Blending science, reflection, and visual storytelling, Walter Tarello explores the deep and instinctive connection between humans and the jungle—the very environment where our earliest ancestors evolved. Through this lens, the jungle is not just a place of biodiversity, but a living reminder of our origins.

Spanning seven years of travel to the Wilpattu jungle in Sri Lanka, this collection presents 111 carefully selected images capturing the richness of wildlife, the rhythms of the natural world, and the raw beauty of an untamed ecosystem. From elusive animals to intimate moments in nature, each photograph tells a story of observation, patience, and wonder.

More than a photo book, this work invites readers to reconnect with the wild—to step outside the boundaries of modern life and rediscover the instinctive curiosity and freedom that still lives within us.
