He died in 1897. His heart started beating again when he met her.

When Grace Holloway moves to the quiet town of Blackwood, she expects nothing more than a new school, a fresh start, and another place she will eventually learn to call home.

Then she meets Sebastian Ashford.

He is distant, impossibly composed, and surrounded by whispers no one seems willing to explain. There is something wrong about him—something Grace cannot ignore. And when she touches him for the first time, the impossible happens.

His heart beats.

Sebastian has not aged since 1897. For more than a century, he has existed somewhere between life and death, trapped by a secret buried within his family and the dark waters of Raven Lake.

Now Grace is changing him.

He can breathe. Sleep. Feel warmth. Hunger. Fear.

And love.

But the closer they become, the more the past begins to awaken. Old journals, vanished women, family secrets, and a warning written long before Grace was born all point to the same terrifying possibility:

Sebastian may finally have a chance to live.

But becoming human could cost them everything.

His Heart Stopped in 1897 is a haunting YA paranormal romance about first love, mortality, fate, and the terrifying beauty of choosing someone even when forever is impossible.
