A hidden forest world. An ancient winter magic. A quiet boy with a big heart.

Eight-year-old Leo Miller is used to feeling small and keeping his head down. But when he discovers a tiny community of Oak-kin led by the brave Captain Bramble living in the woods behind his house, Leo steps into a hidden realm powered by seasonal magic. Armed with his canvas satchel, magnifying glass, wooden pencils, and a magic brass compass, Leo becomes an essential ally to the forest folk as the Grand Defender of the Mossguard.

When early autumn turmoil threatens the forest—from mischievous Pucker-sprites raiding acorn stores to a blocked waterway in Quarry Gully and a strange thermal hum beneath the Great Oak—Leo uses calm problem-solving and clever engineering rather than force to bring peace to the valley. Joined by his older brother, Sam, Leo embarks on an expedition up Blackwood Ridge to turn the ancient Heart-Stone before a harsh blizzard strikes.

Lush with cozy atmosphere, gentle adventure, and heartwarming brotherly teamwork, The Forest in Blackwood Point is a captivating tale about finding courage, listening to the quietest voices, and protecting the natural world.
