When the harvest dies and the world changes - who will save the inheritance of the fathers?

Trinidad, in the 1920s. An insidious fungus infests the cocoa groves, world market prices plummet, and even the proud Hacienda Esperanza is caught up in the maelstrom of ruin. Valentina, granddaughter of the founders, refuses to give up the legacy of her ancestors.

When the young agronomist Mateo Herrera comes to fight the epidemic, two stubborn hearts come together in the fight for the diseased trees - and decide whether a handful of cocoa seeds will become an inheritance for eternity.

Storm over Esperanza is the grand finale of the Esperanza Saga: a moving Caribbean family saga about loss, endurance and the courage to begin again.
