Teresa has always known she is different. She can see things other people cannot, sense when something is wrong, and sometimes glimpse what is yet to come.

But when strange noises begin inside her family's home, Teresa realizes her gift may have drawn the attention of something far more dangerous than a restless ghost.

Soon, objects are moving on their own, frightening whispers fill the darkness, and a violent unseen force seems determined to terrorize Teresa and her family. At the same time, two young ghosts Teresa cares deeply about suddenly vanish without a trace.

Desperate for answers, Teresa turns to an elderly wise woman who knows more about Teresa's mysterious gift than Teresa does herself. What she learns changes everything. There are forces beyond the ordinary world, doors that should never be opened, and dangers that have been waiting far longer than Teresa could ever imagine.

To protect the people she loves, Teresa must follow her instincts into the abandoned Rossfadden Lodge, a place with a dark history and secrets of its own.

There, she will discover that her gift is far more powerful than she ever believed—and that something evil inside the old house has been waiting for her.
