Tommy Rourke moves people through the places where official systems have failed. It is dangerous work, built on trust, experience, and the ability to operate where governments, borders, and institutions no longer provide answers.

Then a routine contract connects his operation to something far larger.

What Tommy uncovers is a hidden commercial architecture protected by powerful institutional relationships and shielded by a state intelligence function operating outside its mandate. At its heart lies a kill zone on a road in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, an operation that was supposed to remain buried.

It has remained buried for eleven years.

As Tommy and his team begin pulling at the edges of the network, they discover an architecture designed not merely to survive investigation, but to protect itself from anyone capable of understanding what it really is.

The deeper they go, the more the question changes.

It is no longer simply about exposing what happened.

It is about what they are prepared to do once they know.

Set across Southern Africa, London, New York and the Kinshasa corridor, **The Necessity of Resolution** is an international thriller of intelligence, institutional power, operational loyalty and the consequences of finishing what others were determined to leave buried.
