"Hi. I'm a wide-mouth frog. Who are youuu…?"

That's how Wide-Mouth introduces himself to everybody he meets, and it's how the trouble usually starts. He's the most curious frog at the Big Pond, he asks everyone the same two questions — who are you, and what do you eat? — and he has no idea when to stop.

Five summer adventures:

– Wide-Mouth Explores His Neighborhood — He meets a squirrel, a turtle, and a bear the size of a tree. He also meets an owl, who eats wide-mouth frogs.
– Wide-Mouth Rescues His New Friend — There's a little green frog on the end of a fishing line, and Wide-Mouth is the only one who can get him off it.
– Mr. Beaver and the Great Flood — It has rained for three days and the pond is rising. Nobody at Big Pond has ever heard of a dam.
– Visiting Farm Animals on Eagle Airlines — A ride on an eagle's back, a farm full of animals he's never seen, and a cow who won't stop chewing.
– A Family Picnic Before School Starts — One last day before school, and two older brothers who are about to get a surprise.

A warm, funny chapter book about curiosity, courage, and asking one question too many. For readers ages 7 to 10 — and for reading aloud to anyone younger.
