A dream carried him far from home. A locked room nearly made sure he would never return.

Nadim has spent years working, sacrificing, and saving for one purpose: to pursue the medical education he once thought life had denied him. Far from his family and homeland, he is finally approaching the end of that long journey when devastating news arrives—his father has died.

Alone, grieving, and unable to return in time to say goodbye, Nadim is at his most vulnerable when a familiar face appears at his door offering sympathy.

He opens it.

What follows is a terrifying descent into betrayal, abduction, violence, and captivity. Held at gunpoint and cut off from the outside world, Nadim must endure a nightmare in which every hour could be his last.

But escaping the room is only part of survival.

Inspired by true events, The Room That Came Out With Me is a psychological suspense novel about trust and betrayal, grief and endurance, and the invisible doors that can remain locked inside us long after the physical ones have opened.

Some prisons are made of walls.

Others come out with us.
