The relief of zeroing out debt is real, but the month after that final payment is where most people lose the

money they fought for, and what you do in those first thirty days determines whether freedom becomes a

foundation or just drift. Griselda Okafor's insightful book explores the unique vulnerability that arrives when

debt disappears but intentionality hasn't yet replaced it.

When a monthly payment stops leaving your account, that money doesn't become "extra"-it becomes

invisible. Budgeting After Debt is not a celebration guide, a debt elimination plan, or a generic savings

handbook. Instead, it reveals how freed-up funds vanish into everyday expenses, and shows you how to redirect

them with the same discipline that got you to zero.

Through real post-payoff scenarios, you will confront the hidden challenges of life after debt:

- The Payoff Hangover: Why reaching zero often triggers increased spending rather than savings, and how

the absence of constraint can quietly rebuild the problem you just solved.

- The Vanishing Payment: How the monthly amount you freed up disappears into "thin air" within thirty

days unless you name its new destination immediately.

- The Make-Up Myth: Why using your former debt payment to compensate for years of sacrifice leaves

you exposed the instant an emergency arrives.

- The Three-Bucket Redirect: A system for splitting your former payment into emergency protection,

future growth, and intentional enjoyment before diffusion sets in.

Every chapter delivers specific overrides to move past vague intentions and build a post-debt budget that

protects what you've gained. Start reading Budgeting After Debt today and turn your debt freedom into lasting

financial foundation.
