My mother's wrists were locked in handcuffs and she was dragged out of our apartment.
I knew my life had changed forever.
Arlena Blackwell and her daughter, Alice, framed my sick mother for theft. Then they offered me a choice that wasn't a choice at all.
Save my mother… by taking Alice's place in Vince Montclair's bed.
Vince wanted a virgin bride but Alice wasn't one.
So I sacrificed everything for a man I had never met, I gave you my innocence—a billionaire hidden behind darkness and too drunk to remember the woman who gave him exactly what he wanted.
I thought that night would remain buried forever but I was wrong, that night only complicated things.
Alice's mother threatened to kill me if I ever went near Vince again. So I ran, disappearing from Los Angeles with my mother and the secret buried deep inside me.
Two years later, I'm back, determined to start over and leave the past exactly where it belongs but fate has other plans.
Vince Montclair walks back into my life… and hires me as his assistant.
He doesn't recognize me, yet he can't seem to let me go. Every glance lingers too long and every question cuts too deep. It's as if some part of him remembers a night his mind has forgotten.
The people who destroyed my life are still watching.
Alice and her mother will do anything to keep the truth buried.
And the closer Vince gets, the harder it becomes to protect the secret that could destroy us all.
Because the night I gave up everything for a stranger didn’t just end when the sun came up.
It only began.
