A crashed enemy ship. A one-way suicide mission. And one starving local.

Commander Kiloe is down behind enemy lines on a desolate planet. His objective: repair and steal the Votainions' newest NexGen starfighter before the Empire can reclaim it. Waiting in orbit, Tamia is his only hope for extraction—if Kiloe can get the K'nat off the ground.

But Votainion patrols aren't his only problem. Something sentient, ancient, and starving is stalking the wreckage, and it's looking for more than just a mechanical snack.
