In the stone-walled training yards and shadowed alcoves at dawn, two Praetorian women grapple with a pull they can no longer ignore. Nora's defiance masks her terror of being discarded once her usefulness ends, while Odessa's possessive energy hides the fear that no one sees past her rank to the woman beneath, her small brand on the inner wrist a secret point of vulnerability revealed only in intimacy.

Every rotation list they share ends in the archive. The ritual bites and dominance marking make each of them yield in turn while asserting control. Neither will say aloud what the marking has become. The rival's reports are already circulating, and one look at a marked wrist would end them both. The next claiming leaves a mark that will not hide.
