A priceless tiara. A twenty-year-old scandal. And an event planner who cannot ignore the smallest discrepancy.
Eleanor Finch arrives at the luxurious Grand Aurelia Hotel with one job: organize the flawless anniversary final of an international beauty pageant.
At the centre of the celebration is the Aurora, a legendary diamond tiara brought to the hotel under extraordinary security.
But from the moment it arrives, Eleanor notices things that do not quite add up.
The shipment is early. Its route has been changed using her authorization without her knowledge. A weight check is skipped. And in an old photograph, the Aurora worn twenty years ago looks subtly different from the jewel now glittering inside the display case.
When the displayed tiara is exposed as a fake, an elegant anniversary celebration becomes a criminal investigation.
Together with Detective David Miller, Eleanor begins uncovering the Grand Aurelia's past: a manipulated pageant final, a vanished contestant, a disgraced security employee, and evidence that someone has spent twenty years protecting the wrong version of history.
Someone in the present is recreating the past.
But are they trying to bury the truth—
or force everyone to finally see it?
The Secret of the Diamond Tiara is an elegant, atmospheric cozy mystery filled with historic hotel corridors, restrained romance, family secrets, dry humour, and a puzzle in which a few missing grams can reveal more than any confession.
