Seven-year-old Nanette has just moved into a bright yellow house on Willow Lane, complete with a blue front door, white shutters, and a garden bursting with pink blossoms. Though she doesn't know any of the children in her new neighborhood yet, Nanette is far from lonely, because wherever she goes, her soaring imagination turns the ordinary into extraordinary adventures.

On a warm, sunny spring afternoon, Nanette puts on her finest white lace dress and sunhat to host a very important backyard tea party under the blooming blossom tree. She sets a table with pink cups, a purple teapot, and plenty of sweet treats, carefully arranging chairs for her three best companions: Barnaby, a giant, fluffy teddy bear with a red bowtie; Celestia, a pearly unicorn who adores strawberry tarts; and Pip, a tiny, glowing fairy princess with a big laugh.

Curious about the girl having a full conversation with empty chairs, her neighbor Rose peeks over the fence. When Nanette cheerfully invites her over, Rose is puzzled, she can only see wooden chairs and grass! But with gentle guidance, Nanette teaches Rose how to pause, breathe, and open the door to her own imagination. Soon, the magic sparks: Rose doesn't just see the magical guests, she discovers delightful new details of her own!

Tea with Nanette is a charming, happy, and deeply heartwarming tale divided into five short chapters. Perfect for young readers, this story celebrates the power of creativity, the joy of shared wonder, and the unforgettable magic of making a new best friend.
