For centuries, seekers have turned to The Gates of Holiness as a trusted guide to the inner life. Written in the sixteenth century by Chaim Vital, the foremost disciple of the great kabbalist Isaac Luria, this classic work maps the journey of the soul from its origin in the divine to its return through a life of ethical refinement, prayer, and contemplation. This modern-English edition renders Vital's teachings in clear, inviting prose while remaining faithful to his meaning and spirit. Here you will find a practical path: the purification of character, the guarding of speech, the discipline of daily devotion, and the stages by which a sincere heart may come to know divine inspiration. Whether you are new to the mystical tradition or returning to it, this book speaks to the timeless human longing for holiness. Part of The Sacred Wisdom Library.
