She came home to save her father's house. She didn't expect to find a movie star in her bathroom.

Clancy Lambert left Brinkerton, Michigan, years ago and built a quiet life far from home—one where even her writing goes out under a pen name. She's good at keeping the world at arm's length. She's had to be.

But when a mortgage notice threatens her father's house—and her father's time is running short—Clancy has no choice but to go back and face the town, the past, and the man she never made peace with.

What she doesn't plan for is Jamie Callahan: A-list actor, Hollywood's most recognizable face, and—apparently—her father's tenant. He's spent his whole life being wanted for one thing: his fame. Clancy has no use for it, and no patience for the world that comes with it.

A broken doorknob. A Michigan winter. Two people with secrets they're not ready to share. The longer Clancy stays, the more the walls she's spent a lifetime building start to crack.
