On Christmas Eve Jake has a present for everyone – except for one friend. She lives up in the sky and her name is Comet.

So he takes his cardboard sledge and an empty box and flies off to deliver her gift. But the scarf crumbles to smoke on the way up, the wind between the stars carries off the gingerbread, and a little star cannot be caught at all. Jake arrives with an empty box and feels like crying – until Comet laughs and tells him what he actually brought.

Twelve richly illustrated pages with three or four sentences on each – a Christmas bedtime story for children aged 5 to 7 about the finest presents being the ones that cannot be wrapped.

Jake’s Adventures, book 5. Book 4 is Jake and the Littlest Candle. Book 6 is Jake and the Clock That Feared Midnight. All three winter stories together are in Jake’s Christmas – for less than two separate books.
