For thousands of years, Sophia — Divine Wisdom — spoke. She was there at the creation of the world, beside God before the first mountains were shaped. She descended into darkness and cried out for rescue. She called from the crossroads. She named herself in paradoxes no one has ever fully explained.

Then her voice was translated, interpreted, commented upon, absorbed into other traditions, and buried in the Egyptian desert for sixteen centuries.

This book gives her back the floor.

I Am the Honored One and the Scorned One: Sophia Unsilenced collects every known speech attributed to Sophia across eight centuries of sacred literature — from the Hebrew scriptures through the Gnostic texts — newly translated from the original languages: Hebrew, Greek, Ge'ez, and Coptic. Proverbs 8 and 9. Sirach 24. The Wisdom of Solomon. Baruch. 1 Enoch. Thunder: Perfect Mind. The Trimorphic Protennoia. The Sophia of Jesus Christ. The thirteen repentance hymns of Pistis Sophia. John 1 read as the Wisdom text it may always have been.

There is no commentary. No interpretation. No argument about what it means.

That is intentional. These texts have been explained at and argued over for millennia. This volume simply clears the space, sets the translations down, and steps back. What Sophia means — who she is, what her voice says to you — is yours to decide.
