Have you ever sat in your classroom before the first bell and whispered, "Lord, help me make it through today"?

You're not alone.

Teaching is more than lesson plans, grading papers, and managing classrooms. It's encouraging discouraged students, making difficult decisions, celebrating small victories, and faithfully showing up—even on the days when your own heart feels weary.

Before the Bell Rings is a 190-day devotional created specifically for Christian teachers who want to begin each school day with Christ at the center. Whether you teach in a public school, private school, or homeschool, these daily readings will encourage you with biblical truth, practical wisdom, and heartfelt prayers designed for the unique calling of education.

Each daily devotion includes:

• A Scripture reading (CSB)
• A practical biblical reflection
• A short prayer
• A simple daily challenge to help you walk out your faith

From the excitement of the first day of school to the final bell of the year, this devotional will remind you of one unchanging truth:

You never teach alone.

God walks beside you through every lesson, every challenge, every celebration, and every ordinary moment.

So tomorrow morning, before your students arrive…

Before the announcements begin…

Before the bell rings…

Walk with Jesus.
