Ricky wants a roar that shakes the whole valley. What comes out is a tiny squeak.

He tries again and again, until he stumbles on Mimi, lost in the dark ferns. She is smaller than he is, and she is frightened. And that is when it turns out what a thin little voice is good for.

Twelve richly illustrated pages, three or four sentences each — a prehistoric bedtime story for children aged 5 to 7 about courage and a big heart.
