The Last Jar on the Shelf is a gentle, atmospheric mystery about secrets, fairness, and the unexpected truths hidden inside ordinary things.

When a well-known fair steward dies unexpectedly, the small community is left with more questions than answers. Among those quietly affected is a preserves-maker who spends her days making jams and preserves for the local market. While sorting through an old collection of jars, she discovers one that seems strangely different from the rest.

The jar carries a forgotten connection to the steward—and a secret that someone clearly wanted to keep hidden.

What begins as a small curiosity soon leads her through old friendships, broken promises, and long-buried disagreements. As she pieces together the story behind the mysterious jar, she realizes that the steward’s death may have changed more than the future of the community.

The Last Jar on the Shelf is a cozy mystery about ordinary people, hidden histories, and the quiet courage it takes to uncover a truth that others would rather leave untouched.
