Drifter-with-a-past Griff Savage travels to Thailand to help his childhood friend Tim in a noble but potentially deadly pursuit—convincing local farmers that it's possible to escape the control of drug lords by switching from opium poppies to orchids.

But nothing about this endeavor is simple, as Savage and Tim confront dangers from criminal kingpins, political rivals, and a local culture with complex rules of its own. Then Savage's exploration of the local territory lands him face-to-face with an old friend investigating an underground trafficking ring… with dire repercussions.

Caught in more than one set of crosshairs, Savage must rely on long-abandoned training if his efforts are going to succeed.
