Evelyn's love of nature shines through imaginative and whimsical prose and poems. She lived through the roaring twenties and both world wars, but held trust in her creator close to her heart. A passionate woman raised on a island off the coast of Maine, she traveled many states, then settled in Arizona.

In a life full of trials, she took solace in her writing. These emotional poems express the beauty of the earth, the love of a mother, and the importance of faith. Some charming lighthearted poems are sprinkled throughout, along with a few essays and short stories that show the difficulties of living in a bygone era.
