Captain Emily Greenheart knew she hadn’t reached her home base when her ship, The Pointed Arrow, emerged from a portal and crashed into a planet she had never heard of. Her shock quickly evolved into incredulity when she realized that only half of her ship was planet-side – the other half remained in deep space. The result of a rare technology failure, the ship never cleared the portal, but the portal remained open, bisecting the ship. Captain Greenheart realized she had to find a way to repair her ship and fully exit the portal; otherwise, she and her crew of four were doomed to find new lives on an isolated and dangerous planet.
