What does it mean to know God?
BEYOND WHAT WE CAN NAME: I AM THAT I AM is a theological research novel that enters one of humanity's oldest and most enduring questions: Who is God, and what does it truly mean to know Him?
Beginning with Scripture and the divine declaration “I AM THAT I AM,” this work journeys through creation, divine self-revelation, the nature of God, angels, covenant, sacrifice, Christ, prayer, the Holy Spirit, the Church, human identity, evil, eternity, and the limits of human understanding.
Along the way, biblical passages are brought into conversation with ancient Jewish and early Christian material, Restoration Scripture, Islamic witness, historical sources, and selected ancient traditions. These sources are not treated as though they possess equal authority. Scripture remains the primary Christian witness, while comparative traditions are examined carefully—where they converge, where they differ, and where they leave questions unresolved.
This is not a book that claims to have mastered God. It is an invitation to investigate, question, verify, meditate, and worship.
Some questions are too deep for easy answers.
Some mysteries are not meant to be conquered, but encountered.
And perhaps the goal of knowing God is not to reach the point where nothing remains unknown—but to arrive at the place where the desire to know Him becomes deeper.
BEYOND WHAT WE CAN NAME is a journey into Scripture, history, theology, mystery, and the boundaries of human understanding.
