She came to America to learn English. She never expected to learn how easily someone else could rewrite her life.

Twenty-two-year-old Yui arrives in Los Angeles with three months of English classes, a homestay, and a return ticket to Japan. She is determined to prove she can survive on her own.

Then Jamie picks her up at the airport.

He is confident where she hesitates, commanding where she is careful, and far too comfortable deciding what happens next. At first, Yui tells herself she only accepts his help because everything in America feels unfamiliar.

Then she starts waiting for him to tell her what to do.

A modeling opportunity turns into paid work. Paid work turns into a contract. And the more Jamie takes control of her schedule, her career, and the private parts of their relationship, the harder it becomes for Yui to separate what he wants from what she secretly wants herself.

She came to America determined to become someone different.

Jamie may give her exactly that.

The question is whether Yui is being changed by him—or finally choosing the woman she wants to be.
